There are five types of
poker actions you can do in a game of Texas Holdem Poker:
- Check - acts as a pass where you can opt not to take any action. You can only do this if there is no money on the table in that round from a previous player.
- Bet - put money onto the table which must be a minimum of the big blind.
- Call - match the highest bet on the table so far by putting in an equal amount to stay in the round
- Fold - used to throw in the towel for that round without putting in any more money. Used when you feel your hand is beaten.
- Raise - increase the size of the bet on the table to a higher level. Used when you have a strong hand or want to bluff other players
