Europeans just luuuuuv online gambling

The online poker people at PartyGaming are reporting that profits are up, despite lower earnings per player. The reason for this is that they're picking up new European customers at a faaaaaaaaast rate - almost half of their signups in the latest quarter came from outside the US. An interesting (if useless) fact from the report is that people spent 13.9 million days playing poker on Partygaming in the three months reported.
